Location

Cadet College Kallar Kahar is located on road Chakwal - Khushab - Sargodha, about 8 km from the famous Kallar Kahar lake. This is the place that Zaheer Ud Din Muhammad Babar, the founder of the Mughal Dynasty in the Sub Continent camped while on his way to invade the Sub Continent and called this place "Little Kashmir" due to its scenic beauty. It comprises great panoramic scenery and a healthy and natural atmosphere. There are many big playgrounds and mountains within the premises of the college.

History

The college was founded by Lt. Gen(R) Nazar Hussain in 1997 with only one building which used to serve as a multipurpose building for academics, hostel, mess, common room and for administration. Now it has beautiful and state of the art separate buildings for all purposes.
The first entry of CCKK passed out in 2003. This entry is called THE PIONEERS. Ali Zafar (now captain in Pakistan Army) was the first college prefect and at the same time wing commander of haider wing. Furqan Wali (now Captain in Pakistan Army) was the first wing commander of Jinnah wing. Ahsan Farhat was the first wing commander of baber wing and Ammar Farooq (Now Lt in Pakistan Navy) was the first wing commander of omer wing. In the first formal inter wing sports competition, Jinnah wing won the three out of four trophies. These trophies included Basketball, Volleyball and Football. Cricket trophy met some controversy and ultimately went to Omer wing. College's first Colors were given to Hashim Mir, Furqan Wali and Ali Zafar (all three for basketall). The college basketball team and football team defeated the local college's teams but were defeated by Military college Jehlum in its first official encounter. CCKK has also the honour of hosting of the biggest sports gala in 2008 which included Military college Jehlum, cadet college Hassan Abdal, Cadet College Kohat, Cadet college Kallar Kahar and PAF college Sargodah.

Infrastructure

The College is spread over 150 acre (0.607029 km²) of land on a plateau. The average height is about 3000 feet (914.4 m) above sea level. It is an open country-side with scenic panoramic view, free of pollution. It has a big C - shapped double-storied academic block. It also has 4 cadets hostels having 8 residential wings for cadets and one hostel for teachers. The dormitories are commodious and equipped with basic luxuries. The college has a uniquely and magnificently designed cadets mosque and two spacious cadets mess. It also has a barber shop , cadets library, college water dam, science block, examination block and a well equipped computer lab.
Each cadet wing has its own common room having a music system, television set and other accessories.
It has 8 wings namely Baber Wing, Omer Wing, Salahuddin Wing, Haider Wing, Khalid Bin Waleed Wing, Jinnah Wing, Iqbal Wing.life in cadet college Kallar Kahar is so much great.

Academics

The first entry took higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) exam in 2003. In 2005 BISE Rawalpindi Secondary school certificate (SSC) exam, the results were exceptionally outstanding. Out of 52 boys, 39 obtained A+ grade (80% and above) and remaining 13 were placed in A grade (70 - 79%). Muhammad Munib Khan got first position in the Rawalpidi Board in 2003 with outstanding numbers and has been awarded gold medal for exceptional performance.In 2004 board exam, Cadet Muhammad Nabeel Sabir secured second position in pre-medical and in 2006 Cadet Ahsan Mahmood was overall first in BISE Rawalpindi with 978 marks.

In 2006, 46 cadets out of 58 got A-1 grade in matric exam.

In 2007,the matric results have also been excellent all along.

In 2008, 81 cadets out of 87 got A+ grade and 6 cadets got A grade in matric exam which is A Top result in Rawalpindi Board. In Board exam of Class IX, 80 cadets got A+ grade and 6 cadets got A grade in BISE Rawalpindi. In Board exam of Class XI, 69 cadets out of 95 got A+ grade and 26 got A grade in BISE Rawalpindi.
