, The Goose, that won a Michelin Star in January 2010 for the third time. With parts of the red brick building dating back to 1728, Britwell Salome is surrounded by farms, beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, walkers paths and its very own Farm Shop (The Red Lion Farm Shop) supplying local produce.

Under new management, The Goose has superb food and a welcoming atmosphere with beer on tap, set menus available through the week and on Sundays plus a picturesque garden.

Britwell Salome Cricket Club plays in Oxfordshire Cricket Association League Division Four.

Southeast of the village is Britwell Hill. The ancient Ridgeway

runs past the hill. There is an excellent view of rural Oxfordshire looking down from the very straight road leading from the hill to the village.
