Braunton School is of a high standard, specializing in mathematics and information technology. The school achieves high grades in the league tables. The school has recently had a new canteen built.

The school has a good sports facilities with four tennis courts, climbing wall, access to Tweedies Field and the North Devon Athletics Track. A multi-usage games area is used by the school as well as being rented out to other sports clubs.
