Bloodstock Open Air
Bloodstock Open Air is a heavy metal music music festival held annually at Catton Hall in Walton-upon-Trent, England, since 2005. Previous line-ups have included bands such as Children of Bodom , Edguy , Turisas , Ensiferum , and Stratovarius .... was launched in 2005 to complement the indoor version.
The festival usually takes place over the first weekend in September each year, but in 2006 the event was moved to the last weekend (29-30 September). Bloodstock attracts metal music fans of all ages and also has an enthusiastic attendance from members of several media organisations including national broadsheet newspaper, the Daily Telegraph.
Bloodstock also offers fans the opportunity to meet the bands at signing sessions and socialise at a number of bars within the Assembly Rooms complex. The festival organisers offer programmes and official T-Shirts for sale.
