BBC Weekend News is the national news programmes on BBC One

BBC One

BBC One is the flagship television channel of the British Broadcasting Corporation in the United Kingdom. It was launched on 2 November 1936 as the BBC Television Service, and was the world's first regular television service with a high level of image resolution...

 at a weekend although it is often referred to on guides simply as BBC News, or if broadcast at 10pm exactly, BBC News at Ten. The programmes are also simulcast on the BBC News Channel.

Format

The programme airs three times Saturday & Sunday, First at 1:00pm to 1:05pm for 5 minutes, Second at 6:00pm to 6:20pm 15 minutes and then Third at 10:00pm to 10:20pm for 20 minutes. The first three bulletins are followed by regional news.

Presenters

The lunchtime programme is hosted by the duty News Presenter for the BBC News Channel. Both the early and late evening bulletins are presented by the same dedicated presenter. Below are the details:
