Cabanas or lockers can be rented at these clubs, often costing thousands per season. During the summer months, the population swells by thousands as people flood the beaches. There are no publicly accessible beaches, but Atlantic Beach residents may obtain season passes and access the beaches though nine entrances.

The Atlantic Beach Fire District is responsible for providing fire and emergency ambulance services for the majority of the village. Atlantic Beach does not have its own fire department, and contracts out fire protection to the Long Beach Fire Department

Emergency ambulance services are provided by a combination of Atlantic Beach Rescue Squad and the Long Beach Fire Department, again except for Silver Point and Sun and Surf, which are covered by the Inwood Fire Department.

Police protection is provided by the 4th Precinct of the Nassau County Police Department. The village also maintains its own small civilian security patrol.
