Although Reb Asher's lectures are in Yiddish, his mother tongue is Hebrew and he anecdotally learned Yiddish in order to understand the lectures which he heard in Yeshivas Mir.
Rav Eli Baruch Shulman of Yeshiva Rabbeniu Yitzchak Elchanan gives a lecture in the style of the Mirrer derech from where he studied under Reb Nachum as a yungerman.
