Geography

Amla is located at 21.924335°N 78.127856°E. It has an average elevation of 313 metres (1026 feet).
In History this place was used by british army to store there Ammunition and so called Ammunition Land in abbreviation form it started calling Amla. It is famous for the Indian Air Force Depot, where bombs and missiles are stored.
Earlier Amla Railway station was used as a base kitchen for catering in 1989, the base kitchen was shifted to Itarsi.
Famous markets are - Bodkhi, Amla Town etc.
People visit this place to see the waterfalls.Famous one is Pachama, about 20km from the railway station.
Betul is around 36 km from this place, Major educational institutions are - Kendriya Vidyalaya Amla, Amla Government high school. etc.

Amla is also known for the hanuman mandir which situated near govind colony amla this temple is very old and the statue is very big.
There is a big and very old temple of renuka mata is in Chhawal 7km from Amla.
