Alykes is situated by the Gulf of Patras

It has approximately 6 km of paved roads, hydro lines and not as much residential roads.

Houses were stone-built until the 1950s and did not surpass modern-style homes until the 1980s. It was linked with pavement in the 1980s. Radio and automobiles arrived in the 1950s, the highway was being paved as well, television in 1980s, in the same time, tourism skyrocketed which led to construction and completion of hotels, villas and restaurants, computer and Internet arrived in the late-1990s.
