On 23 January 2006 it was announced that McMordie was to rejoin Stiff Little Fingers for the duration of their upcoming March tour. On 26 April 2006, it was further announced that he had rejoined the band on a permanent basis, although as he has other business interests, a replacement may occasionally have to be used live. Besides being a live musician, McMordie runs Alistair McMordie Tour Management.
