. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics
in his hometown for France, but he also set several national records in Greece.
He placed second in the triple jump
, a full metre behind the winner (James Connolly of the United States
. Tuffèri's jump was 12.70 metres to Connolly's 13.71 metres.
Tuffère was one of nine athletes to compete in the long jump
. The only information known about his placing in the event is that he was not one of the top four.
He also participated at the 1900 Summer Olympics
in Paris

event and finished 6th. He also participated in mid-Olympics (1906) this time for Greece.
In November 1940, Tuffère, who was living in Athens at the time, was nominated as the head of a gaullist
