Alcove Entertainment is an independent film production and finance company, based in the UK and the UAE. Alcove Entertainment has occasionally acted as a distributor for its own films. The company was founded by Amina Dasmal and Robin Fox in 2005.

Company

Alcove Entertainment was co-founded by producer and UAE native Amina Dasmal and producer Robin Fox in 2005. The word ALCOVE originates from the Arabic language, Qubbah قبّة meaning ‘vault’.

In 2008, Amina Dasmal was recognized by Forbes as being one of the top 50 most influential business women in the Middle East and in 2009 was named one of the UAE's 30 under 30 in business. Amina was recently listed number 27 on Arab Business' 100 Most Powerful Women of 2011.

The first film started under the company was Cochochi, a production with Gael García Bernal
