Corruption

During his administration as Municipal President(2006 -2009), numerous cases of corruption were exposed, such as the proliferation of gambling centers and casinos derived from bribes of casino owners, according to a cable from Wikileaks titled "09MONTERREY259"http://www.cablegatesearch.net/cable.php?id=09MONTERREY259, Madero received 2.5 million US dollars from casino owners in order for Madero to concede them municipal licenses so they could operate, along with a monthly payment.
