 strategic bombers of its parent 4126th Strategic Wing and other USAF units as directed. Transferred to 456th Bombardment Wing in 1963 when SAC redesignated its parent wing to an AFCON organization.

Reassigned to the 17th Bombardment Wing in 1975 when the 17th BMW replaced the 456th at Beale; again reassigned to the 100th Bombardment Wing in 1976 when it replaced the 17th BMW. Inactivated on 15 March 1983 when SAC moved B-52s out of Beale and the 100th BMW was inactivated.
