Tenth Street is very music based. Two of the seven staff members are in rock bands. Nathan Sackman, the band teacher was involved with a rock band called, Slideshow (discontinued). They had multiple shows a month and has done some time in the recording studio. Eric Hanson, the Social Studies teacher is the bass player for the locally known, Arisen From Nothing. AFN is a metal band from Washington that has a full CD. AFN recently won the best of Western Washington award from Evening Magazine.
