News 8 gradually made the transition first, starting by rebranding its social media outlets. The branding change was implemented on January 10, 2011.

YNN Capital Region/Hudson Valley

The channel debuted on October 11, 2002 as Capital News 9, nearly a year after originally planned due to various delays in infrastructure and staffing. In August 2006, Capital News 9 increased its reach to the former Adelphia systems in the market when Time Warner closed on their purchase of those systems. Due to lineup structure, YNN Capital Region is seen on channels 1 or 78 in Queensbury, channel 1 or 97 in Canajoharie, and on either channel 7 (northern) or 95 (southern) in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

In March 2010, as part of a statewide rebranding of Time Warner's news channels, Capital News 9 adopted the "YNN" (Your News Now) moniker, which was already in use on YNN Buffalo and YNN Rochester.

YNN Central New York/Southern Tier/North Country

YNN Central New York (short for Your News Now Central New York) is a 24-hour local news channel headquartered in Syracuse, New York. Their slogan is "Your news, all the time". It is owned and operated by Time Warner Cable, and is available only to its cable subscribers throughout Central New York, New York's Southern Tier, and the "North Country" in the western/northern Adirondack Region. It was the eleventh channel of this format launched by Time Warner and one of about 40 local/regional cable newschannels nationwide. It began operations in November 2003 as News 10 Now.

In February 2007, News 10 Now added a separate channel with news, weather and sports targeting the Binghamton and Elmira/Corning markets, with five reporters and a technician operating from new bureaus located in Binghamton and Corning. This expansion also added four additional producers at the Syracuse headquarters who work exclusively on the Southern Tier program feed. [1].

The two separate YNN Central New York channels are available to about 580,000 Time Warner Cable subscribers in New York and portions of Pennsylvania's Northern Tier. This makes it one of the larger local news channels nationwide, both in terms of subscribers and geographic coverage area. The channel's website won a coveted Edward R. Murrow national "Best Website" award in 2004.

During the Binghamton shootings in April 2009, News 10 Now's live camera at the scene was broadcast on many of the major network and cable news outlets. A package from the perpetrator was mailed to the Syracuse newsroom the day of the shootings, but was not received until days later.

The station is the only one of the four upstate New York "Your News Now" channels that is not placed on channel 9 in the cable lineup. This is due to the presence of WSYR-TV in the Syracuse market, which broadcasts on channel 9. In markets where channel 10 is taken (e.g. SUNY Oswego, which has its campus-run station in that slot), YNN Central New York broadcasts on channel 14.

Time Warner Cable announced on February 12, 2010 that News 10 Now, along with its sister networks, would rebrand under its YNN branding, which it had previously implemented in Buffalo and Rochester, by the end of March.

YNN Buffalo

YNN launched at 7pm on March 25, 2009, replacing WICU-TV in Chautauqua County (a move that created considerable controversy), CFTO-TV in most of the rest of the region, and Time Warner 8 in Jamestown on the cable lineups.

The channel is available in almost all of western New York except for portions of Cattaraugus County, which are served by another cable provider. Despite the fact that it is the newest of the YNN channels, it is the first to use the YNN branding.

YNN Rochester

The station debuted on Channel 5 in 1990 as "WGRC" (Greater Rochester Cablevision), making it by far the oldest station in Time Warner's YNN network. In 1992, the station changed to Channel 9 and labeled itself as "GRC9News". Later, after Time Warner acquired cable franchise rights to the area, it was changed to just "R News". In 2005, some of the station's operations were merged with News 10 Now, a sister station in Syracuse, New York, and Capital News 9, a sister station in Albany, New York. Like its sister stations in Albany and Buffalo, it airs on channel 9.

On August 4, 2009 at 5:00 AM, R News became YNN Rochester (YNN standing for "Your News Now"), co-branding the station with its new Buffalo sister station YNN Buffalo. This branding was later expanded to the Syracuse (now YNN Central New York) and Albany (now YNN Capital Region) stations.

YNN Carolina

Three stations branded as "News 14 Carolina" exist; the one in Raleigh, North Carolina debuted March 22, 2002. and two others serving the Piedmont Triad and Wilmington debuted September 25, 2006 and August 18, 2008 respectively. As of 2011, they remain branded "News 14 Carolina," although the station uses "Your News Now" as its slogan and plans remain in place to rename the channel in the near future.
