Gazte Abertzaleak has an ideology in common with Eusko Alkartasuna, assuming their own position on several issues, because of the political authonomy they enjoy. GA is represented in every local organization direction of EA, in regional organizations and its Secretary General is full member of the national executive of the party, Eusko Alkartasuna.

Their actual Secretary General is Maider Carrere, elected in their last congress, in Gasteiz, on 12/13 September 2009, their 11th national congress.
