. Housing is predominantly private. It has a garage at one end. The garages are the only facility in the village, with most inhabitants having to travel to Whitstable or Canterbury for forms of entertainment and nightlife. Sadly, the village does not even contain its own pub, which makes it much harder to socialise with those in the village. On the other hand, many of the neighbours thought Yorkletts know each other reasonably well so many social event occur between these people. Yorkletts is home to the Woodland Trust's largest and newest site, Victory Woods, with stunning views over the Thames Estuary.

The Village also plays host to a very unpleasant Traveller site, home to Paedophiles and Sodomites.
