Xu Song an independent musician in pop music in China

To everyone’s surprise, Vae refused all performance invitations in order not to have a bad influence on his academic study. His songs and such behaviors attracted more people to become his fans and got a lot of praise for him. In 2005, Vae got the award as Chinese entertainment NET best male singer. In May, 2007 Vae got the chance to be the member of Anhui
Musician's Association. One year later, he was selected to be one of the best 10 students in the whole Anhui
Province.
In these three years, Vae changed from a music player to a professional popular musician. What’s more, he was not only a traditional Internet singer, but also the person who improved the level of Internet songs.
Though Vae was really popular on the Internet then, nobody knew where would be his future in 2008.
The CD was sold in advance from 11 Dec, 2008 to 21 Dec and the number broke 10000 in just ten days. Another 200 were added then. What should be paid attention to was that the CD got popular only by fans but no commercial promotion. This attracted several musical companies. However, no company dared to accept Vae’s requirement that he wanted to publish another independent CD.
So, Vae refused all companies and began to prepare his second CD ‘寻雾启示’, which came out on Jun 6, 2010 and became another big success. There are ten songs in this CD, including 'The Monn in Luzhou'(庐州月), 'The White Horse Is Not A Horse' (白马非马). One day after the CD being uploaded on the Internet, it became the most popular one in QQ music taking the place of Jay Chow, who had been the first for more than seven years.
Besides, Vae also composed a lot of other songs in this term. 'Two Tragedies' (两种悲剧)is one of them, telling a young man's mood after breaking off with his girlfriend. 'Your Mouth' (你的嘴)is a song Vae composed for a female singer, Jin Sha.
By then, Vae had made a musical legend on his own.
The CD '苏格拉没有底' was published on 1 Apr 2011. Ten songs in this CD talk about philosophy in everyday life and love, such as 'In Imagination' (想象之中) and 'The Doctor' (医生). The Click-through rate soon broke 1000000, after only one song being uploaded.
After the publication, Vae started his traveling around the country to take part in the activities with fans. Beijing, Shanghai, Heifei, Nanjing are all included. Besides, Vae began to get in some commercial activities. He has been one of the spokesmen of an online game '天龙八部', which adapted from Jin Yong's novel.
On the Internet, there is a saying that Ocean Butterflies has saved a big fortune for promoting a new singer because Vae is not a new guy. He has been popular on his own for a really long time.

Vae is a sophomore in medical college. In his spare time, he made some demos with a personal computer and microphone. Some of them are adaptions, and others are written by him and his friend. Changes (2011--?)
In March 2011 Vae finally got into a international musical company 'Ocean Butterflies'.
