Worksop PSB (opened in 1998) is located at the western end of the station (on the Retford-bound platform) and there are a number of goods loops and sidings close by that are used for stabling and reversing/recessing coal trains serving the nearby power stations at West Burton and Cottam

Services

On weekdays there is a basic hourly service on both the Sheffield to Lincoln route and the Robin Hood line to Nottingham. Some additional peak period trains operate between Sheffield and Retford (with a few starting and finishing here in the early morning & late evening) and most services on this line continue through to , and . On Saturdays only there are three trains to and from Cleethorpes

Sundays see two-hourly services to Sheffield & Lincoln. A Sunday service was introduced on the Nottingham (Robin Hood) line in December 2008. However, since May 2011 this service only runs from Nottingham-Mansfield Woodhouse.
