Woody Bennett was born in York Pennsylvania, graduated from Maranatha Bible College, ordained as a Pastor by the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa.
Woody Bennett is now the Founder, Senior Pastor and Teacher of New Destiny International Ministries in the South Florida area. Anointed as a "Spiritual Life Coach" he uses the scriptures to motivate, push and coach believers into their destiny and purpose. He preaches and teaches an anointed message of foundational truths. His assignment on the field of faith is to build, equip, train, prepare and teach the people of God the spiritual life strategies that will help them discover the will of God for their lives. His motivation is to advance them into the mission field of the world! Ultimately to achieve the great commission of "winning lost souls". Discovering God's purpose for total fulfillment and everlasting success, is the vision he plants in the hearts and minds of those that are seeking to win in every aspect of life.
Upon leaving the University of Miami, Woody Bennett entered the National Football League as a Running Back. He began his professional year in 1979 with the New York Jets, in 1980 he was signed by the Miami Dolphins playing with the likes of Dan Marino, Mark Duper, Mark Clayton, Nat Moore and many other football greats under the tutelage of one the greatest coaches of all times, Mr. Don Shula. #34 Woody Bennett remained with the Miami Dolphins until 1988.
Woody Bennett's athletic experience conditioned and prepared him to face the many challenges and adversities life brings. "From pushing cars up the hills of California, to training countless hours in the gyms of Louisiana, building stamina and muscles for competition, I never realized God was conditioning me spiritually and preparing me for my real assignment on the field of faith, 'building up the Body of Christ and winning souls for Christ' What an awesome assignment!"
