It serves the rapidly growing suburbs of Hoppers Crossing, Werribee, Wyndham Vale, Point Cook and Tarneit. It has a widespread single-floored layout with two food courts, one at each end. In recent years, the rapid growth of surrounding suburbs has put increased pressure on the plaza, and as such, an expansion is currently planned to increase retail and parking capacity at the plaza, to accommodate the growing population of Wyndham area.

Proposed major expansion

A masterplan for a large scale two stage expansion of the plaza has been developed.

Stage 1

Stage one of expansion will involve:

Overall stage one works will bring the gross leasable area of the plaza to approximately 100000 m² (1,076,391 sq ft) and is set to be completed by 2012.

Stage 2

Stage two of expansion would provide:
  • An additional 36000 m² (387,500.8 sq ft) gross leasable area

  • The creation of a new second level of specialty shop mall space.

  • Further improvements to integrate the community uses of the library, medical and service uses into the plaza.


Overall stage two works will bring the gross leasable area of the plaza to approximately 137000 m² (1,474,655.7 sq ft) with a total of approximately 6200 car parking spaces and is not set to commence construction until at least 2016, provided a second regional centre has had time to establish itself in the surrounding area before stage 2 development would be allowed to commence.
