. Welbilt opened the Town Fair show in Latrobe, PA, signed a demo deal with Virgin Records, and recorded four songs with producer Andrew "Mudrock" Murdock (Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold).

A Beautiful Mess

When Virgin passed on the demo, Welbilt continued recording its first full album, A Beautiful Mess, released in December 2003, which included the songs from the initial session and eight additional songs recorded with Mudrock in the summer of 2003.

The band played their last show with all four members on November 21, 2007 in Fairfax
