Premise

The series features highlights from the 2005 and 2006 We're Funny That Way, Canada's International Queer Comedy Festival in Toronto. The series consists of six 30-minute episodes. The festival was founded in 1996 by current events comic and producer Maggie Cassella and continues to run every spring in Toronto at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Proceeds from the festival support The We're Funny That Way Foundation - aimed at donating money to queer charities in the smaller towns and cities across Canada.
