The cheerleaders of WCHS are involved in many activities, including pep-rallies, football games, basketball games, volleyball games, school fundraisers, parades, etc. The WCHS cheerleaders compete in competitions and camps were they are always very successful in representing this school. The JV squad is consisted of grades 7-8, and the varsity squad consists of grades 9-12. Homecoming is the event in which our cheerleaders look forward to most.

---Football---
The head coach is Chris Wilson. In their 2010 season, the bulldogs ended their regular season 8-2, won the 3A Region 1 Area Championship, defeated Pike County in the first round of play-offs, and fell short of beating Bayside Acad. in the second round. Ending record 9-3!
---Baseball---

Reid Utsey became the baseball coach at the end of the 2009 season. The Bulldogs, under former coach Rickey Davidson, made an appearance at the 2007 3A AHSAA State Championship Game, but lost to Hokes Bluff.

---Basketball---

The new head coach of girl's basketball is David Henry 2010 . The Lady Dawgs made it to the semi-finals during the 2007 AHSAA girl's basketball championship. During their 2009 season the Lady Dawgs competed at the AHSAA semi-finals. In 2010 Amber Speights signed with Faulkner State Community College on a basketball scholarship.

The boy's basketball coach is Terry Sheffield.

---Softball---
The current head coach of the girl's softball team is Terry Sheffield. The Lady Dawgs softball team is consisted of grades 7-12, and offer JV and Varsity positions.

---Volleyball---
The coach of the Lady Dawgs volleyball team is Mrs. Cynthia Deese. The team is consisted of grades 8-12. In 2010 Farrah Deese signed with Faulkner State Community College on a volleyball scholarship.

---Golf---
The sponsor of the WCHS golf team is Mrs. Rhonda Gunn. For their past 2 seasons the golf team has made it to the AHSAA state championship.

MARCHING BAND

The WCHS Marching Band is known as "The Pride of the Deep South", the band is under the direction of Mrs. Sandy Brown. The band consists of wind instruments, drumline, flag corp.,dance team, drum major, and runners. In 2010 the band went to the Azlea City Marching Festival at Mary G. Montgomery and received 1's and superior ratings. The 2010-2011 Drum Major also received Best in Class, Best in Show Drum Major.

--Gold Dusters--
The Gold Dusters are the dance team at WCHS that perform with the band in the halftime shows, entertain at peprallies, and do many other activities during the year. The Gold Dusters are known for their award winning kick, pom, and baton routines. At the 2010 MGM Band Competition the Gold Dusters were Best in Class in Dance Line and Majorette, and Best in Show in Dance Line and Majorette. The 2011-2012 Gold Dusters are: Sarah-Waites Turner-captain, Kristy Singleton-co-captain, Jerrica Perry, Aeriel Dungan, Kiondria Taylor, Abigail Dumas, Alex Baldwin, Faith Batley, Maci Jones, and Destiny Slater. Their coach is Ms. Caty Sheffield

--Flag Corp.--
The Flag Corp. performs with the band during halftime shows and helps keep spirit the whole football season. At the 2010 MGM Band Competition the flag corp. received 1's and superior ratings. The 2011-2012 Flag Corp. is Ashton Dunnam, Destiny Davidson, Kyra McKinnis, Rodneshia Brown, Paris Dunn, Mikayla Hicks, Brianna Walker, Rachael Taylor, Lyndsey Howard, Shanealya Walker, Laporsche Washington.
