most enjoyed festival of this town. During ganesh visarjan, a large community from various towns and cities gather to enjoy the moment. The security on this day is very tight. The festivals enjoyed is a sign of unity between different religion in this town.
One unique aspect of Ganesh Chaturthi in Warora is that the duration of festival lasts 1 day more than elsewhere in India. This has some historical background.

Famous Institution Of Warora

The Institution, Maharogi Sewa Samiti, Warora, is for rendering Humanitarian Service to the Leprosy Patients, Physically Handicapped, Disabled people, Deaf-Mute, Blind, Orphans, Tribals etc. The major activities since its inception, five decades ago, are for Medical Treatment, Training and Rehabilitation of Disabled and Disadvantaged people and bring succor and relief to the Socially and economically deprived through productive work and outreach programmes. The Mission and Motto of the Institution being ‘Production Oriented Social Service’, the disabled and disadvantaged persons are actively engaged in about 45 diverse productive trades and disciplines for which their physical fitness with good medical treatment is the prime need.

The very concept and mission of, Baba Amte, the Founder and the Institution, has been apart from Medical treatment of Leprosy Patients to bring succor and relief to the physically handicapped and socially deprived, through productive work. His motto has been ‘Work Builds, Charity Destroys’ and this has been Institution’s main objective and emphasis. Maharogi Sewa Samiti, Warora, has been one of the pioneers and foremost in the field of medical treatment of Leprosy Patients, Rural Tribal people and their training and rehabilitation.

Anandwan also runs two educational institutions namely 'Anand Niketan College of Arts, Commerce and Science' and 'Anand Niketan College of Agriculture'. These are one of the best educational institutions of the area having excellent teaching staff and descent atmosphere. Many of the students of this college are on high positions in govt and public sector throughout the world.

Warora is already shining in world map due to the famous institution of Anandwan, now two more jewels are going to make it more shining as two power plants are going to start in the industrial area of Warora. These power plants will help growing economy of the town and also will provoide employment to the local unemployed youth. In addition to that some new coal mines are also taking shape in the nearby area. We can look forward Warora as one of the best locations of Vidarbha in terms of business. There is an ample scope for many industries in the MIDC of Warora due to easy availability of Water, Coal and Transportation. Warora is on the main Grand Trunk railway track which is an added advantage for upcoming industries. Warora also has bushy forests in nearby area which makes it full of natural resources.
