 where it is referred to as "Soft Kitty". The words to the song were written by Australian Edith Newlin, and are still under copyright. The tune for the song is traditional.

The Big Bang Theory version is slightly different, in that the verses are reversed. Instead of "Warm kitty, soft kitty" it's "Soft kitty, warm kitty" and the same happens with "happy kitty, sleepy kitty" which is reversed in the original.
