History

The team was established in 1940 under the name Algodoneros de Unión Laguna. Eight years later, in the 1950 season, they won their second and last title so far, which highlighted the work of Guillermo Garibay.

At the beginning of the 21st century, the team changed its policy, and with it came a change in name and image of the ninth lagoon. It was decided to change the team name to the Laguna Cowboys, and the traditional maroon uniforms were changed to orange.
