which came to be the Second League or the Third Division. The FFU decided that the Transitional League of the previous season had to promote the higher-placed clubs to the newly created Second League and the other teams were to stay put.      became the first former Soviet club that lost its non-amateur status.
  • Hirnyk Khartsyzk was named 'Kanatchyk' during the first half of the season.
  • Antratsyt was named 'Hirnyk' as it represented the settlement of Hirne.
  • Some records indicate that the sixth-placed team 'Prometei Shakhtarsk' was promoted as Antratsyt Kirovske withdrew at the end of the season. Simultaneously Hirnyk Khartsyzk, also known as Silur, was allowed to stay for the next season. That fact seems highly suspicious and probrably suggested that all three clubs were related. Antratsyt was financially challenged after the season had finished and could have merged with Prometei Shakhtarsk. Alas, today most of the records are based on a single source provided by the handbook of Yuriy Lander "Football in Ukraine" (in Russian) which, however, is not completely accurate.
  • Ukrsoccerhistory.com (now a defunct website) containing an extensive free-access football database that used to follow the championship records from the very beginning has been giving different reports for Antratsyt, Shakhtarsk, and Khartsyzk.
