. It was created by Türkiye İdman Cemiyetleri İttifakı in 1924. The first competition was in 1924 but was held for the following two years. Then the competition was not held for the following four years. The third competition was started in 1932 and the series continued until the end of the season in 1936. The competition began again in 1940 and was played every year (except for 1948) until 1951.

Beşiktaş JK and İzmir Denizgücü were the most successful clubs in the championship with 4 titles.
