History

The Pub here commenced operation when the gold rush started in Adelong about 1860 and was called "The Adelong Crossing Hotel". Adelong Crossing Place Post Office opened on 1 August 1864, was renamed Tumblong in 1913 and closed in 1973.

Tumblong consists of a wrecking yard, a few private residences on the road to Adelong and a pub
