The dominance of the minor leagues by the Rangers killed Major League clubs chances of premierships in the lower divisions with the exception of other three team minor league club, Carina Red Sox. On December 14, 2008, Redlands refused to make the 150 km trip to Toowoomba after being beaten 26-1 earlier in the season and decided to pay a forfeit fee instead.

The Rangers Minor A team were undefeated from the start of season 2007 until the 7th of December, 2008 when they were defeated by the Carina Redsox 13-12 in the second game of a double header.

The club also holds the infamous record of the largest defeat in the Greater Brisbane League
