Togo has no grocery store or post office, however has a modest private airport. Togo has two artisan water wells open to the public. One is located at the cross roads of Highway 65 and State Highway 1. Togo had a post office with a zip code years ago, but Cook is now Togo's Zip code(55723) The old post office and store is now a residential home which is home to an Artisan. There is one gas pump in Togo. Dick Olson who is 97 sells gas to the public. Dick Olson is a Living Legend, One of the areas most prolific loggers and employer. The old Togo Elementary School is home to a residence and also operates a small saw mill. There was also a good ole family restaurant/bar at the crossroads of Hwy 65 & Hwy 1 (The Junction) that closed in 2011. Togo connects to hundreds of mile of snowmobile trails. The Togo spur is located near the Junction which directs sled traffic. The Minnesota Department of Corrections operates a Juvenile Correctional Facility with an emphasis of Wilderness Training/Restorative Justice. It's been established for over 50 years. It's commonly known as [Thistledew Camp]. The Mn Dept. of Corrections also operates a women's correctional facility which operates as a boot camp for women's offenders. The facility has roughly 60 employees.

Notable residents include Jamie Nelson, four-time winner of the John Beargrease Dog Sled Race, four-time Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race competitor, as well as globe trotting with her famous dog sledding boot camps held all around the world.
