The band was formed by Hungarian musician Tamás Kátai, along with a fellow bandmate from a previous group, Gort. In their early years, the band started off playing black metalBlack metal

. As time progressed, so did the band's overall sound. They began adding in much more electronic and experimental influence into their music, creating a very atmospheric sound. In February 2009, the band was signed to the avant-garde independent record label
