Thomas MacDonald Waller (January 1, 1840 – January 24, 1924) was an American
politician and the 51st Governor of Connecticut.

merchant called Robert Waller. He graduated from Bartlett High School and then studied law. In 1861 he was admitted to the bar.
. He later became a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives. He served in the Connecticut House of Representatives in 1867, 1872, and 1876. He also served as Secretary of State Connecticut from 1870 to 1871. He was mayor of New London from 1873 to 1879.
Waller became the Governor of Connecticut in 1882. He ran unsuccessfully for re-election in 1884.
