Plot

A woman, "Charming Jones" (Ann-Margret) is being escorted to town by a cowboy, "Handsome Stranger" (Schwarzenegger) (as they ride together, they both state that they have been named after their respective fathers). Charming is traveling to the town to claim money left by her father, Parody Jones (Martin). But the man who had to hand over the money to Charming, rich Avery Simpson (Elam), wants the money back. He hires an old cowboy, "Cactus Jack" (Douglas) to rob them after they leave town. However Jack is not very good at robbery.

In essence, the trip back with the money is a live-action remake of a Looney Tunes

and painted tunnel entrances. The plot has a surprise ending, when Charming chooses Cactus Jack to be her romantic interest, over Handsome Stranger (and his naive and staunchly pure-hearted intentions towards her).
