, hoping it will help unite the Klingon Empire. Attacked soon after arriving by a telepathic alien, the group face a race against time to find the sword. Eventually tracking it to a planet in the Gamma Quadrant, the team fight off a mercenary attack and retrieve the sword. Soon tempers flare as both Worf and Kor wish to claim the sword as their own, but Dax takes possession of the sword to keep the two warriors from killing each other. Eventually they realize that if the sword divided two men as honorable as they, then it would do the same to the Klingon Empire, so they beam it into space, leaving it to drift until the Klingon Empire is ready for it.
