The Radio 1 Surgery (formerly known as the Sunday Surgery) is a British radio show that airs on BBC Radio 1 on Sunday evenings from 10pm - 12am hosted by Kelly Osbourne since 14 October 2008 and as of 19 October 2008 has been presented by Aled Haydn Jones and Dr Mark Hamilton. It began with Sara Cox in 1999, then was joint-hosted by Emma B. Dr Mark is a registrar at the A & E section of Salford Royal in Eccles, near Manchester. From July 2007, Annie Mac took over the role of presenting from Letitia during the Sex Weeks Of Summer a series of special programs during Radio 1's Six Weeks Of Summer focusing on sex related issues.
Listeners are given advice to problems in certain areas of their life, mostly for notorious adolescent problems, and other listeners get to share their experiences and advice and also are allowed to give their point of view.

It is similar to problem pages found in teenage girls magazines. They also have done road shows and have weeks specifically dedicated to one subject, often a type of addictive behavior or dependency.
Open University
Four television programmes were made for the Open University about common themes often discussed about sexual health.
University tours
In October 2005, the programme toured four universities, broadcasting live from the student union bar. The topics covered on the show, are very much related to university life. The four universities included , . They went to in February 2004 and Leeds Metropolitan University in May 2003. In September 2005, they went on a Sex Tour, sexual health to Yale College in Wrexham.
