History

The Perfume Shop started life in 1992, with just a handful of shops. Typically the perfume shop trades from smaller shops than many other retailers, this is mainly because they do not have to put stock on the shop floor and to keep costs and staff level down. Their busiest period is the Christmas season.

The Perfume Shop At Superdrug

Since 2010 The Perfume Shop has operated a concession stand at Superdrug stores. The project was initially trialled with 11 stores including Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Bury, Glasgow, Westfield London and Kensington High Street. Fifty more locations are to be added to the scheme during 2011.

Rewards Club

In 2011, The Perfume Shop are said to be following in the footsteps of its sister company Superdrug

in launching their own loyalty card. During this time The Perfume Shop officially announced their Loyalty Scheme, in the form of The Rewards Club. The rewards club will allow customers to collects points on their Reward Card in the form of 1 point earned per £1 spent. Customers in the UK and Ireland will also be able to collect point on-line too. Once the customer had reached 100 points they will receive a £5/€3 Voucher to redeem in-store against their next purchase. The Club will also reward customers with multi points promotions and customers will also benefit from an exclusive magazine to be issued on a quarterly basis.

As of September 2011 the perfume rewards club is active.
