due to its proximity to where this historic document was signed. The school contains over 1200 pupils including over 60 prefects.

The school was awarded Gold Artsmark status in June 2010 and several student representatives attended an Arts Council England ceremony in Brighton.

The school was announced the first Apple RTC (Regional Training Centre) in Surrey in 2010. Which included a new Apple suite with the introduction of high definition video conferencing for national/international interactive learning.

Alice Upcott,from the Magna Carta School,and her team from Spelbound, won Britain's Got Talent 2010. Also from this school is Jordan Houghton, who is in the under 16's national football club and is already assigned for Chelsea. In addition to this, Miss Meraki's (A teacher at the school)son, Matt Lapinskas, is in EastEnders and plays the part of Anthony Moon. He used to go to this school, and still judges the yearly competition : "Magna's Got Talent" at the school. He comes in occasionally to watch shows and plays that the students of the school put on, and still is widely popular with the students.
