The chorus was based on the Moroccan folk tune "A Ram Sam Sam
". The song was originally written in 2002 by Dutch producer Eric Dikeb in 2002, and had been a #1 hit in Germany with a version recorded by DJ Ötzi
, as "Burger Dance". Another version, "De Pizzadans", recorded by Dynamite, had been a hit in Belgium.
