In October 2001 the site, led by Nobel Laureate José Ramos-Horta gathered statements from 25 of the 28 living Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and opened a dialogue with the Laureates about 9/11 and the invasion of Afghanistan. The site received the only written statement from Yasser Arafat about 9/11. It was named number two in the USA Today's list of top ten web sites for the year.
