. It is commonly referred to as TSEC (pronunced Tee-Sec). The college was founded in 1983 and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

TSEC offers a four year Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses in Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology. In addition, it also offers a two-year masters courses in Electronics and Computer engineering. Its active student community hosts branches of several professional societies including IEEE(USA), ACM, CSI, ISTE, IETE, IIChE, etc. TSEC is the first college in the University of Mumbai to start courses in Biomedical Engineering (1983), Information Technology (1998) and Biotechnology (2004).

The College is developed up to Post-Graduate level and is imparting instructions for Full-Time courses in ME (Computer Engineering) 25 seats.

Festivals

Trifles: It is the national level, inter-collegiate festival of TSEC. More than 50 colleges participate in Trifles. Various cultural events like group dance performances,elocution,singing competitions,fashion shows,stunt shows and many other creative events are held. The highlights of Trifles are its pro-nights where celebrity artistes are invited to perform live for the college students.

Avalanche: This is the annual intra-collegiate festival of TSEC. It is conducted before Trifles and mostly in the first few months of every academic year. This is primarily done to provide an opportunity for the freshers in college to participate and get to know the college and their seniors better. It also serves as a platform for the juniors to get involved in the management of clubs of the college and take up various leadership positions in the future.

CARMA: CARMA, an acronym, for "Career Management" is the premier inter-collegiate festival of The Management Society - TSEC. The festival is the first inter-collegiate festival held in TSEC every academic year and comprises a variety of events such as seminars, debates, quizzes, management games and fun events.

Lakshya: Lakshya is the intra-collegiate festival of The Management Society - TSEC. It is held in the even semester and consists of events conducted by the MS-TSEC Clubs.

Speaktacular: Speaktacular is the national level Debate Competition of TSEC, organised by the Management Society. It is one of the biggest and best debate events in Mumbai.

ISAAC: The annual inter-college technical festival of TSEC conducted by IEEE-TSEC is called ISAAC and is usually conducted in the month of September. It boasts of a variety of robotics and non-robotics contests, workshops, conferences and exhibitions.

Rubix: Rubix gets bigger every year. This year marked the 10th anniversary of CSI-TSEC and we had obviously planned a bigger and better technical festival. In 2011, Rubix introduced its mascot – Rubixius.

Rubix has workshops like Web 2.0, Linux, Photoshop and Animation. It also added competitions to the list of all the rest. The new competitions included Exterminator which was a robot war, Hurdle Race which was a robot race, Ad Mad, Green Film Competition and Sold Out. Sold Out was a quiz and game based on football where the teams participating could earn points and bid for players to build a team of their own. Codezilla attracted international coders along with many competitors from India this year. Rubix regularly witnesses participation from multiple nations.

Newton: It is the annual intra-collegiate festival of IEEE-TSEC. The festival is held around the month of February with the main aim of getting the newest members of IEEE-TSEC acquainted with the committee. It consists of various fun events such as treasure hunts, quizzes, etc.

Reflection: The annual inter-college technical festival of TSEC conducted by IETE-TSEC in collaboration with ISTE-TSEC is called Reflection and is usually conducted in the month of September. Technical workshops, seminars and competitions amalgamate technology with fun. Events like Aero Modelling Workshop, Photoshop Contests, Aquabot Workshop etc. are meant to keep students up to date with the latest technology through. Other events like Android Workshop, Seminars on Wireless & Ethical Hacking, Windows Phone 7 App. Development Workshop etc. were also organised.

Spirits: The annual cultural festival organized by TSF is called Spiritis and is one of the most popular festivals of TSEC. It includes major events like War Of Bands, Rink Football,Human Expressions, Treasured Spirits and workshops like Dance Meditation and Palmistry.

Professional Societies at TSEC



The TSEC Students' Council is a student body of the college which overhauls the working of cultural events in and out of the college. It is the core committee associated with the principal. Trifles is one of the largest engineering cultural festival held in Mumbai, which the TSEC Students' Council proudly hosts every academic year.

The Management Society - TSEC is one of the oldest and largest student societies in TSEC. MS-TSEC hosts three major festivals, CARMA, Speaktacular and Lakshya every year. With three clubs dedicated to quizzing, literary activities and debating respectively, MS-TSEC is the only society of its kind in Mumbai University.

CSI-TSEC is the student branch which comes under the CSI – Mumbai chapter and today it is one of the most vibrant amongst all the student branches. Every year, CSI – TSEC conducts student activities including workshops, seminars, conferences, technical competitions, training programmes and industrial visits which keeping the students involved in extra – curricular activities along with their academic curriculum and giving them a platform to show case their talent and develop their skills. In 2011, its annual festival 'RUBIX', had participants from many countries for the coding event 'Codezilla' making it the first event in TSEC to go global.

IEEE-TSEC is the largest student body of IEEE in Mumbai. The IEEE technical team has won various competitions in Mumbai. It has an annual festival called ISAAC.http://www.isaac2010.com/. IEEE also has four of its chapters active in TSEC namely Computer Society, Communication Society, Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society and Industrial Electronics Society .

is the non-technical society of TSEC and has been involved in many social activities. Major of these activities are Blood Donation Drive and Bandra Station Project. NSS-TSEC also conducts a 10 Day's Residential Camp in the outskirts of Mumbai with the basic aim of Overall development of the Society.

IETE-TSEC, i.e. Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers-TSEC is a blooming society presenting their first inter-collegiate technical fest "REFLECTION" on September 17th and 18th, 2011. Workshops, seminars and competitions conducted by IETE-TSEC mix technology with fun. "REFLECTION-MEET THE REAL YOU" indeed is an ideal platform to rejuvenate hidden skills and showcase talents.

IIChE-TSEC is the chemical technical society and conducts seminars, research paper presentation, industrial visits with a vision of integrating textbook learning with industrial knowledge. Chemical Students can become a member of the society from second year. The society conducts Annual Technical festival - Chemergence which draws participants from whole of India.

TSF-TSEC SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION is a one of its kind society that aims to incorporate spirituality through its various seminars and workshops. TSF has been organizing seminars like Stress Management, Art of Living,Palmistry and workshops like Dance Meditation, Vedic Maths that helps students channelize their energies in the most efficient way. Every year TSF comes up with one of the most popular festivals-SPIRITS which is a major attraction for students from over 30 engineering colleges.
