Tessa has performed in school plays and amateur theatre throughout primary school and high school. She has been dancing since the age of five, has sung for the Young Australian Broadway Chorus and the Children Performing Choirs Australia. In addition, she plays the piano and guitar, loves to swim, surf and act. She took up acting at the age of 7.

Her first on-air role was as Anne Baxter on Neighbours where she played a blind girl. She also played the lead role in the Australian short film, Hugo.
