took control of the airport and on 10 June 1998, passed control and management to the Airport Development Group (ADG). ADG hold a 50 year lease over Tennant Creek Airport with free option for a further 49 years.

Airlines and destinations

Scheduled passenger service is provided by Fly Tiwi to Darwin and Vincent Aviation to Alice Springs. ChartAir at Alice Springs conducts charter flights on request, and also operates an Aero Medical evacuation service with an aircraft based at Tennant Creek airport.
Australasian Jet, Based in Alice Springs provides cost effective charter services to Tennant Creek and many communities in the Northern Territory, South and Western Australia.
