. Richert is considered to be one of the most consistent goalkeepers in Ligue 1, and has performed well over the past decade. Opportunites for international football for Richert have been few and far between, due to Domenech's preference of Gregory Coupet and controversially, in the latter part of the decade, Fabien Barthez.

He was linked with many top clubs in his mid-twenties, but declared his loyalty to Montbéliard.

He is regarded as one of the best keepers in France.
