  • Tatkal Booking starts one days in advance excluding the day of journey i.e. for journey on 3rd, the booking would be starting at 8 a.m. on 2nd.
  • No proof of identity is required to be produced at the time of booking the ticket. However as of February 11th 2011, the passenger will be required to furnish ID such as a PAN Card, Passport, Driver's License, etc. during the actual journey.
  • There will be no separate Tatkal train defined. The unutilised Tatkal quota will get released to waitlisted passengers.

    during peak period i.e. April to September is 80% and above, Tatkal charges applicabale during peak period will be charged throughout the year i.e. for both peak and non-peak periods.
