Tammy spent most of her career living and working in and around Los Angeles, California. She moved to Baltimore's inner harbor several years ago and began living with long-time friend, and sometimes unofficial medical consultant, Dr. Gary Green; a noted Emergency Medicine physician and former associate professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. The outdoor wedding ceremony took place at a waterside restaurant in Baltimore's inner harbor, followed by an evening reception at the Baltimore Aquarium.

Following the wedding, Tammy and Gary split their time between living in the contemporary waterfront condominium they designed together in Baltimore and a Lower Manhattan apartment conveniently located near the Village and the NYU Medical Center Emergency Departments which Dr. Green currently administers. Recently Tammy and Gary have moved back to Baltimore on a semi-permanent basis.

Ader is an avid dog lover and can be seen depicted with her late dog Clara in the production credits of Strong Medicine. Ader is currently the proud co-owner of a beautiful Burnese Mountain Dog named Che.
