This block consists of one famous temple "devdi mandir" as we read in newspapers that the new cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni whenever comes to ranchi he must visit the temple. This temple is about 60 k.m. from ranchi on Ranchi-Jamshedpur highway. People of this area has great faith on devi "devdi" and comes from different parts of Ranchi district for fulfill their wishes. Major villages are : Tamar, parasi, Sarjomdih, mardhan, Lungtu, Sirkadih, Radgaon.
