1910 to 1920
In 1912 Alfred J Foster was one of the main engineers in charge of building the Port and Oil Refinery. At this time Talara was just a small fishing village.
His wife Susanna Foster followed him to this remote village and a book has been written from her journals.
Alfred Foster died in Talara on the 2nd April 1917
